Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and CompanyReceipts ("CompanyReceipts," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the CompanyReceipts iOS app, the web dashboard at companyreceipts.com, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

CompanyReceipts is a receipt and expense manager. It lets you capture receipt images, record and organize their financial details, separate receipts by business, and export reports. Some features (such as cloud sync, web access, team sharing, and exports) depend on your subscription tier.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• Notify us promptly at support@companyreceipts.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Your content

You retain all rights to the receipts, images, and data you put into the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and, where you enable sharing, to the organization members you authorize. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to upload it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
• Upload content that infringes others' rights or violates any law.
• Attempt to access data that is not yours, or probe, scan, or breach our security or access controls.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law.
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly allowed by your plan.

Subscriptions, billing & renewals

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, yearly) until cancelled. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store, billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple under your App Store account, and Apple's terms apply to that transaction. If you subscribe through our website, billing is handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Except where required by law or expressly stated, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices or plan features on prospective notice.

Third-party connections

If you connect a third-party service (such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or Microsoft OneDrive) to back up your receipts, your use of that service is governed by that provider's own terms, and you authorize us to access only the folder you designate. You can disconnect at any time.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. CompanyReceipts is a record-keeping tool and does not provide tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. Automatically read receipt fields may contain errors — you are responsible for reviewing your records and consulting a qualified professional for tax or accounting decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompanyReceipts and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CompanyReceipts is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. (Confirm the specific jurisdiction and any arbitration or dispute-resolution terms with counsel before launch.)
